 In a spectacular weekend of racing and some incredibly tough competition it was Jan Francke from the Czech Republic and Connie Silvestri from Queensland both taking out their second Dirt Master State Championship of the season as Dirt Master & Dirt Mistress Queensland.
Connie Silvestri: Dirt Mistress Australia
A special mention must made for Connie Silvestri who in 2012 has achieved what we thought was almost unachievable and secured the Dirt Master State Title in all three states making her the first ever Dirt Master Contender to be inducted into the Australian Dirt Master Hall of Fame. Congratulations Connie on a truly outstanding achievement, from an incredible athlete. You couldn't hope to meet a nicer athlete in the world of Off Road Racing and Connie is truly deserving of the title as Dirt Master Australia.
Dirt Master Contenders took on three gruelling long course off road events across two days including:
- Tre-X Off Road Triathlon: 1000 - 28 - 10.5
- 8km Trail Run
- 50km XC MTB
Of the 15 contenders, 11 amazing athletes who challenged their bodies, hearts and minds had the grit, heart and hardcore determination to conquer the challenge to earn the title of Dirt Master or Dirt Mistress 2012. Title Holders include:

With a record number of contenders and some incredibly tough competition it was Jan Francke from Czechoslovakia and Connie Silvestri from Queensland taking out the 2012 Title as Dirt Master and Dirt Mistress Victoria. For Jan, it was his first attempt at the title and with a win in the Off Road Triathlon and strong placings in the Trail Run and 45km XC MTB, he held on to take the title in an amazing time of 4:43:42.
Connie Silvestri has also once again stamped her dominance on both the Tre-X and Dirt Master Series, being the first person to take out Back to Back Dirt Mistress Championship Titles in both NSW and Victoria in a time of 5:16:03. We're all holding our breath to see if she can make it three in a row at the Queensland Dirt Fest to be the first person, male or female to earn the title of Dirt Master Australia.
